How do I break or destroy a block?

To break a block you must either be in the wilderness or breaking on a plot you own within a town.  To break you hold your finger on the block you want to break.  When the block is finished breaking it will be placed into your inventory.  Also to break a block it must be near your character. 

 

If a block breaks but then reappears immediately it means your inventory is full.
